I GOT MY SCANNER BACK WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the better sketches I did over the Christmas holidays. My dad gave me a book while I was in China, about the most beautiful locations in China. Among them was a massive waterfall - I forget its name but it's absolutely spectacular - and I remembered this picture I once saw, of a floating Chinese castle. So I thought, "Goddammit that's cool." And basically I drew it out and here it is.

Architecture of Shrine is based on Chinese shrines, although there seem to be a few Japanese elements involved as well. I decided that since I've got Photoshop now, I might as well start learning to use it, so there's a few splashes of colour. I turned the opaqueness of the colours down to very low though, to give it an effect similar to watercolour drawings (I think. It looks watery.)

The title, Piaoyuan (Simplified Chinese: 漂园 ), literally means 'floating garden/court' in Chinese.
